Listcrime is a one-stop-shop for reliable, up-to-date information about online safety, to give home users and small businesses the advice they need to use the Internet safely.

The Internet is a world-wide network that provides electronic connection between computers enabling them to communicate with each other. Online information and websites can be created, hosted and accessed from all over the world, by anyone, at anytime.

The average user is not, does not want to be, and should not need to be a computer security expert any more than an airplane passenger wants to or should need to be an expert in aerodynamics or piloting. The very lack of sophisticated end users (YOU) knowledge renders our society at risk to daily threats when accessing the internet.  We at LISTCRIME are here to give you not answers to questions but give you SOLUTIONS to daily Internet and Identity theft PROBLEMS

LISTCRIME.COM was formed by average computer users that decided to get together and spread free and useful information to the average end user (that’s YOU).   We are tired of internet thefts (BAD GUYS) who hide behind technology and country jurisdictions and use those boundaries to steal your MONEY, IDENTITY, and TIME (clearing up your name after it has been hijacked).

Our work falls into five major areas:

  1. Help for online victims of cybercrime and identity theft.
  2. Assisting the end user (YOU) on preventing and fighting back against cybercrime.
  3. Education the end user (YOU) on what others are doing to combat cybercrime, such as Law Enforcement.
  4. Education the end user (YOU) on what the Bad Guys are doing to commit cybercrime.
  5. Providing information on all aspects of online safety, privacy and security.

Cyber attacks on United States information networks can have serious consequences such as disrupting critical operations, causing loss of revenue and intellectual property, or loss of life. Countering such attacks requires the resources of the government, private industry, law enforcement and MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU.

There is an entire economy that now exist on the internet to outfit criminals with virtual tools they need to commit cybercrime.  The black market for stolen data (e.g. date of birth, social security numbers, home addresses, and credit card numbers) is now well developed and the cost of obtaining this information is very affordable.  There is a cycle of supply and demand that is enabling the commercialization of cybercrime. This underworld includes specialized auction sites, product advertising and even support services.  See Listcrime's Carding Websites

Cybercrime is a global problem, it has no borders and criminals know the law enforcement is lacking and is always behind. BAD Guys in Eastern Europe, China, Africa and Russia (to name a few) hide behind laws and lack of laws knowing each country has its own way of dealing with the problem. Most lacking education, resources, and or seeing it as a problem.

Identifying and arresting key players involved in cybercrime involves a host of associated complexities and costs, such as tracing individuals through chains of compromised hosts and the cost of subsequent legal proceedings.

Most experts believe that some countries have become known safe havens for cyber criminals.  International pressure to crack down on those safe havens have not worked because some of those local governments have financial ties to criminals, has a political agenda encouraging them or unfortunately so poor that fighting cybercrime is not a priority or high on the agenda.   Leading experts believe that until cybercrime is rooted into society and grows beyond a manageable risk it will not be tackled on a global scale.  Cyber crime is just like drugs, prostitution, and guns it will only receive the correct resources to address the problem when it truly rises beyond an acceptable level.

Until that day comes you will always have sites like LISTCRIME.COM

There is a vast amount of data readily available on the internet for free.  We at LISTCRIME.COM are just average people that want to bring all that information together into one user friendly, one stop cybercrime fighting website.

LISTCRIME.COM USES INFORMATION THAT IS ALREADY READILY AVAILIBLE ON THE INTERNET.  ALL SOURCES TO INFORMATION PROVIDED IS EITHER CREDITED AT THE END OF EACH WEBPAGE OR PROVIDED VIA HYPER LINK.

SIMPLY PUT, LISTCRIME.COM IS A JUST A CONDUIT OF INFORMATION.
